Languages

Our unique software uses a huge database of digital speech fragments, in 35+ languages and dialects, to generate natural-sounding, 100% grammatically correct passenger announcements. If you don’t see the language you need for your airport or airline, please talk to us!

AviaVox provides the clear, calm voices that people recognise in leading airports around the world, from Heathrow to Schiphol, Dubai and Melbourne.

Over 3,500 different kinds of announcement can be generated in each language, more than covering the daily needs of an airport, and each airport’s own announcement policy can be taken into account (we can even help you with your announcement scripts). We also have products specifically for ad hoc agent calls and for use by airlines at departure gates.

How it Works

We record hundreds of thousands of words in every language, using native speakers. Those words are then spliced into digital word fragments and stored in our database. Using your scripts, our system can generate your passenger announcements in any of over 35 languages, using AI to control the construction of words and grammar.

  • Clear, intelligible, consistent passenger announcements
  • 100% grammatically correct
  • Linguistic, social and cultural conventions are taken into account
  • Announcements can’t be distinguished from a native human speaker
  • Supports the silent airport policy.

Right Language, Right Zone, Right Time

AviaVox promotes efficient passenger flow without flooding the airport with ceaseless, unintelligible announcements which pertain only to small numbers of passengers at a time.

Since AviaVox software connects to the AODB, it knows which languages are prevalent in which terminal area at any time, and can make announcements in the most relevant languages. For example, if a flight is due to depart for Moscow in two hours, announcements can be made in security (“Please remove your belt, jackets and shoes”, etc) in Russian during the right period ahead of that departure.

Clear announcements in the passenger’s preferred language are a powerful way to keep them informed and to dispel stress. If travelers know when to go to the gate and when to stay seated, for example, they know when they have time for shopping, dining or leisure. Research shows that relaxed passengers spend up to 45% more, on average, in the airport’s retail outlets.
